FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Eta Gamma Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at the University of Delaware. Thank you for visiting!

My name is Olivia Greene and I am a junior Athletic Training major as well as the 2020 President of the Eta Gamma chapter of Gamma Phi Beta! Joining Greek Life was one of the best decisions I made in college. Not only did the campus feel a lot smaller, but it opened my eyes to opportunities and fostered an environment for me to grow as both a leader and as a person. I can truly say that I would not be the woman I am today if I had not joined the amazing sisterhood of Gamma Phi Beta.

A major part of Greek life at the University of Delaware is giving back to the community! Here, the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta support our international philanthropy, Girls on the Run, throughout the year with multiple fundraising events, including Watermelon Bash and Moonball. In addition, our sisters support the philanthropies of other Greek chapters on campus by attending and donating to their events! We also join the rest of the Greek community each spring for UDance to support the B+ Foundation.

We are kind, fun-loving, and well-rounded. Each one of us is very much different from the next, however, we complement each other’s strengths by inspiring others and promote the highest type of womanhood. We are empowered and genuine, and we are a family that I honestly feel is incomparable at this University. Eta Gamma chapter has a foundation that is as firm as a rock – it supports and guides our members in a life full of friendship and service. I’ve become a better student, a better leader, and an overall better person because of these women whom I trust and love.

I encourage you to get to know us! I wish those of you going through recruitment the best of luck! Although it can seem daunting, believe that everyone finds a home. Always be authentically you and be open-minded. Feel free to contact me at ogreene@udel.edu if you have any questions regarding Gamma Phi Beta, Greek Life, or UD in general.

WITH LOVE,

Olivia Greene
